Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Rural Butcher Supplies, we specialise in delivering professional-grade equipment across Australia. Please review our shipping terms below to ensure a smooth delivery process.

1. Shipping Zones & Rates

We currently ship to all states and territories within Australia. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order.

Handling Fee: All shipping rates include a standard handling fee. This fee covers the specialised packaging required for heavy-duty equipment and the logistics involved in dispatching from our supplier network.

2. Delivery Estimates

While we aim to get your gear to you as quickly as possible, please use the following as a general guide:

  • Metro Areas: 1–4 business days.

  • Regional Areas: 5–10 business days.

Please note that these are estimates only. Shipping times are calculated from the moment the product is booked with the courier, not from the time the order is placed. Deliveries may take longer during peak seasonal periods.

3. Heavy Goods & Special Requirements (Items over 25kg)

Due to the size and weight of many of our products (such as mincers, bandsaws, and fillers), specific delivery conditions apply to ensure the safety of the driver and the security of your goods:

  • Forklift Requirement: All individual items or pallets weighing over 25kg require a forklift at the delivery site for unloading.

  • Hydraulic Tailgate: If you do not have a forklift on-site, a delivery vehicle with a hydraulic tailgate will be required. This service incurs additional charges from the courier.

  • Depot Collection: To avoid tailgate fees, you may choose to have your order delivered to your local freight depot for personal collection. Please contact us prior to shipment if you wish to arrange this.

4. Failed Delivery & Redelivery

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the goods and that the correct unloading equipment is available. If a delivery fails due to a lack of unloading facilities or an incorrect address, redelivery fees charged by the courier will be passed on to the customer.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number. You can also track your order via the link in our website footer.
