Ruturns policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
At Rural Butcher Supplies, we stand behind the quality of our equipment. Our returns policy is designed to be fair and strictly adheres to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Mandatory Australian Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Change of Mind (Voluntary Returns)
Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds for "change of mind" or incorrect selections.
-
Gift Exchanges: If an item was purchased as a gift and you would prefer a different colour or item of equal value, we offer an exchange within 30 days of purchase.
-
Conditions: For a change-of-mind exchange, the item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.
-
Costs: You will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item and the shipping of the new exchanged item.
3. Faulty or Damaged Items
If a product is faulty, unsafe, or does not do what it is supposed to do, you are entitled to a remedy.
-
Major Failure: You can choose between a refund or a replacement.
-
Minor Failure: We will repair the item within a reasonable time, or offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
-
Packaging: You do not need the original packaging to return a faulty item, though it is preferred to ensure safe transport.
-
Return Shipping: If an item is confirmed to be faulty, Rural Butcher Supplies will cover or reimburse the return shipping costs. Please contact us before sending the item so we can provide a pre-paid label.
4. Exclusions
Under the ACL, you are not entitled to a return or refund if you:
-
Misused the product in a way that caused the problem.
-
Knew about a fault before buying (e.g. "Seconds" or clearance stock marked with a specific fault).
-
Have used the product for a long time and the problem is caused by normal wear and tear.
